HISTORY
The Douglas clan is an ancient family from the lowlands of Scotland, Douglas, South Lanarkshire. The family’s original seat was Douglas Castle.
The Douglas Ancient tartan is predominantly blue and green with azure and a white stripe.
Crest: On a chapeau, a green salamander surrounded by fire
Motto: Jamais Arriere (Never behind)
Lands:Lanarkshire, Galloway, Dumfriesshire and Angus
Seat: No currently recognised Clan Chief, or armigerous clan.
ABOUT THE CARPET
Materials: All of our carpets are 80% British Wool and 20% Nylon. Woven 8 row Axminster with a heavy commercial quality.
