HISTORY
The Adam clan is recorded from the 13th century most commonly in the lowlands, also with connections to the Gordon clan of the North East.
The Adam tartan contains a rich mix of green blue and reds with white and black.
Crest: A cross crosslet fitchée Gules surmounted by a sword in saltire Proper
Motto: CRUX MIHI GRATA QUIES [from Latin: The cross gives me welcome rest]
Seat: Blair Adam, estate in Kinross-shire. No currently recognised Clan Chief, or armigerous clan.
